Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Occupational Health and Safety Certificate; Health and safety training course; Association for Canadian Registered Safety Professionals Certification; National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) program; Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA) Certification of recognition
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Specific Skills:
Train and supervise students in practical shop work session; Teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations and laboratory, shop and field studies; Serve on faculty committees for budgets, curriculum revision, course requirements, student application review and staffing; Provide consultative services to government, business and other organizations; Prepare, administer and mark tests and papers to evaluate students' progress; Prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses; Lead discussion groups and seminars; Evaluate shop work of students in trades; Deliver lectures and presentations; Conduct course and program evaluation or review; Provide assistance to students with special needs
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: MS Access; MS Excel; MS PowerPoint; MS Word; MS Outlook; MS Project
Additional Skills: Operate audio-visual equipment; Prepare reports
