Elevated Work Platforms Training
Scissor Lifts and Ariel Boom Lifts
Who Should Attend:
Individuals who will be interacting with, operating, or working around elevated work platforms.
Course Goals:
The Silecio Elevated Work Platforms Training Course trainers will provide operators with an understanding of the hazards associated with operating elevated lifting devices, as well as how to properly inspect for the safe operation of elevated devices.
Course Focus:
- The Silecio Elevated Work Platforms Course reviews safe operating of:
- Self Propelled Elevating Work Platforms (Scissor Lift)
- Self Propelled Boom Supported Elevated Work Platforms (Example: Genie Boom)
- Truck Mounted Elevated Lifts

Final Theory Exam Practical Component and Final Evaluation
Course Materials:

Course Requirements:
- An area with tables and chairs for the theory portion of the course.
- Silecio Inc. requires the equipment used for the practical portion of the course to be on-site and up to date with a yearly inspection.
- All trainees must come to class with CSA approved steel toe footwear, a harness and lanyard.
- In order to successfully complete the course and receive a certificate, each trainee must achieve a score of 75% or greater on the final test and successfully complete their practical evaluation.
This course is designed in accordance with CSA B354.2-01 Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms, the Ontario Regulation 851 for Industrial Establishments and the Ontario Regulation 213/91 for Construction Projects.
